DeShawn Maurice creates most of his artworks with acrylics on large canvas along with mixed media, found art as well as functional art. As an abstract artist he enjoys restoring and expressing his abstract painting style on unique and recycled furniture pieces. DeShawn loves to bring the neglected structures back to life and apply his own artistic design and creativity to them. As he begins to work, he feels that he leaves a part of himself with each piece of artwork. DeShawn\'s purpose for creating his work is to give glory to God and to allow God through his art to touch the viwers spiritually.
