Please see my website...Art studies in Paris France. Created HERMES scarves in Paris and worked on the restoration of Le Louvre Museum paintings. Designed LP covers. Illustrated children magazines. Authored and illustrated a children's book published by Dessain & Tolra in Paris. Has been creating sculptures since 1980 in Los Angeles. Somehow erotic works found their way into erotic Museums (Paris, Las Vegas, Miami. 4 Galleries and 3 showrooms carry and sell my sculptures in and around LA.

A SCULPTURE:

I feel the urge of a sculpture as a bubble in my belly similar to the first stirrings of a new life within.

This bubble needs a meaning, a reason to be, so I have to stay still and listen and look inside, and find the place of ABUNDANCE.

Abundance offers an inexhaustible flow of ideas.

My bliss is to choose ONE, follow it, track it, catch it, keep it and cover it with layers of CLAY, so it becomes a SHAPE, a solid FORM that we can SEE with our naked eyes: IT'S A SCULPTURE. karin swildens
