About

My name is Papuna Bersenadze, I\'m from the republic of Georgia. I?ve been living in Seattle area for 7 years now, well mostly living here. I\'ve graduated from Central Washington university in Ellensburg with a BA in political science, minoring in philosophy. I?ve also studied abroad in Paris for a semester as part of my degree in 2008.

I started painting sometime in the fall of 2008, in Ellensburg. One day I just felt like oil painting, so I went to the store and bought a moderate size canvas board-thing, box of oil paint, and a couple of brushes...

I\'m not a professional painter/artist, whatever that means... I didn\'t go to art school, haven\'t taken art classes after second grade, painted only occasionally, long ago in childhood...

Graduated college wanting to be a lawyer... But i\'ve realized people can be trained to do anything, we\'re very adaptable species, and with all the distractions of modern life... who knows? So instead of trying to change myself to fit the surroundings, I\'ve been trying lately to find out who exactly am I... To start there and work my way out, instead of the other way we\'ve all come to accept as normal. Instead of trying to fit in, mold to the established, I\'d rather be free, unique, and original.
