Be on the Bright Side!

artisanLos Angeles, CA, United States

The painting does not yet exist, but I can already sense its presence — as an inner state that I cannot yet name or give an image to. For me, painting begins with this premonition. Much of it may seem spontaneous, but that freedom grows out of what lives within me. I never know in advance what a painting will become. Following colour, movement, rhythm and texture, I allow an image to emerge that I could not have imagined beforehand. Layering creates a sense of vibration: colour and texture interact, drawing the viewer into the painting’s energy. And then the painting becomes familiar, almost personal — as though it were their own. “Female's Point of View” is, for me, less a subject than a way of feeling and perceiving the world. “Seeing for Joy within myself ” was the title of one of my solo exhibitions, and it expresses my approach to life. Joy can be found even in difficult moments — in simple details, chance encounters, light, colour and the very movement of life. Love and joy do not erase sorrow; even as they pass through it, they retain their light, keeping us fully alive — able to feel, to love, and to open ourselves to the world again. And perhaps that is why there is so much life in my paintings: joy is not their subject; it is their nature. Tatyana Yartseva is an abstract artist born in the Siberian city of Omsk. In 2014, she moved to California, where she began painting and received an art education, and immersed herself in the local art scene, working at the Lark Gallery. At the heart of Tatyana Yartseva’s work is the inner world of the individual, with its emotional complexity and changeability. Color becomes her primary means of artistic expression. The interplay of hues, textures, and layers of paint creates a space between intuition, experience, and imagination. The viewer is left free to form their own perception and interpretation. Since 2018, Tatyana Yartseva has regularly participated in international exhibitions and art projects, presenting her work in the United States, Italy, and Russia. Significant events in her artistic career include solo exhibitions, among them is “Seeking for Joy" Her works have been published in American and Canadian art magazines. More than 100 art works are held in private collections.
