Uma Aslam draws much of her inspiration from her personal spiritual experiences and her connection to nature. Her paintings have a sense of wonder and intrigue that not only captivates the audience but engages them into delving deeper into mind and spirit sometimes even awakening subconscious memories of who we really are, of what we have long forgotten as our true inherent nature, which is the Divine spark that exists within each and every one of us.
Sometimes she will tell a story in her paintings, and at other times she will paint what she receives and experiences through dream states, meditations, and visions in the way of forms, symbology, and color.
