Reflecting Forest

The painting resembles a shaded forest floor as you would see it walking through on a sunny day. The ambiguous title is a triple-entendre referring to the forest a person could reflect in while walking through, the forest itself thinking about its own existence, or perhaps the forest subtly reflecting the colors of the fall day. At any rate, the painting with its overall dark structure and muted colors creates a cool and calm atmosphere for contemplation.
